About Us
It Ends Today, Inc. is a non-profit organization that works to spread anti-bullying awareness to people everywhere. Members of the organization visit schools in Northern New Jersey to hold assemblies and programs for students. Speakers use age-appropriate multimedia presentations to explain the different aspects of bullying, its consequences and methods used to prevent it from happening.
One of the organization’s main goals is to be able to reach out to students who have been troubled by bullying. It is our belief that the most effective way to end bullying in our schools and community is for students to watch their own peers talking about problems and personal experiences related to bullying. We believe that this kind of “peer-to-peer” action is more effective than having an adult dictate to children how they must behave. We hope that this method will result in students taking on the responsibility of respecting others, treating others with courtesy, and coming together to end bullying today.
Many teenagers across the world access the popular site YouTube.com for entertainment, music, current events, and other engaging videos. YouTube is the perfect venue for videos providing solace and influencing others to help stop bullying.
Students are invited to post a video of themselves talking about “bullying” on YouTube, and then share the link to it by sending it to hr@itendstoday.org, along with a written paragraph describing why they decided to create the video. All videos will be posted on our website for the public to view and the creator of the most inspiring video will win a $2,500 academic scholarship!
